Ben Karlin
Executive Producer
Ben Karlin began his career as a writer, then editor of The Onion. He was Head Writer and then Executive Producer of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and concurrently co-creator and Executive Producer of The Colbert Report, winning 9 Emmys for his work. He also co-wrote and edited the bestseller “America: the Book,” as well as his own anthology “Things I’ve learned from Women who Dumped Me.” Karlin was nominated for a Golden Globe for producing the feature film 50/50 with Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon Levitt and Anna Kendrick. He co-wrote & produced the feature A.C.O.D. starring Adam Scott, Amy Poehler, Richard Jenkins, Catherine O’Hara and Jane Lynch and spent three seasons as a writer/producer on Modern Family, winning two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Comedy Series. There’s also been a bunch of stuff that didn’t turn out so good, but he doesn’t see why we have to get into that here.
