This years star on the rise Zolee Griggs can be seen in the up and coming HULU drama series, “Wu- Tang: An American Saga.” Created by Alex Tse and The RZA, the show takes place in 1990 Staten Island, NYC following the lives of average teenagers surviving the harsh life of the concrete jungle and how those boys metamorphosed into the iconic rap group that is Wu-Tang Clan. Zolee stands out as the leading lady in the show as Shurrie Diggs, Bobby Diggs younger sister, who is the glue of the household making sure she can balance school, her three brothers and a secret social life.
In the film front Zolee can be seen starring in the up and coming Independent Film “Bit” by Brad Michael Elmore alongside Nicole Maines who plays Laurel (CW’s Supergirl) and Diana Hopper, Duke (Amazon Prime’s Goliath.) The story follows Laurel, a young teen from a rural town moving to the city with her brother when she stumbles upon what she thinks is a badass group of girlfriends but later finds herself surrounded by vampires. Zolee plays Izzy, a laid-back skater videographer from Oakland, CA who is also Laurels love interest.
Additional credits for Zolee include a guest star role on HBO’s Ballers and Adam Ruins Everything.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Zolee was exposed to public speaking at a young age by performing in church which later developed into school plays and performances. She starred in her first commercial by age 4 and had solidified a reoccurring role in the Disney show “Cory in the House” by age 8. By age 16 Zolee had developed an additional love for beauty and fashion where she started her own blog “The Outfitt” and cultivated a small following by giving advice and tips to her young audience. Now as a young adult, Zolee has started her own annual Women’s Conference GRL2WMN, has a large social media following dedicated to fashion blogging, and has worked with many brands such as Marc Jacobs, Uggs, and Laura Mercier to name a few.

Multi-talented and optimistic, Shurrie embarks on the journey of new motherhood. She and Dennis raise their son in a loving partnership, but Shurrie worries that Dennis will turn back to the streets to support their family. Shurrie believes in Bobby’s vision, but money is tight, and she needs Wu-Tang to take off fast for the sake of her family.
